From an early age he showed concern for painting, music and theater.
He began his plastic studies in the Palace of Fine Arts of the City of Barranquilla and during those first years he participated in several children's painting events represented at the Department of the Atlantic, in which his most remarkable result was to obtain the first position at National level with his work "The train of joy" that represented the country in the Biennial of Poland during the frame of the year International of the child, organized by UNICEF in 1979.
A fan of twentieth-century art, he feels great sympathy for artists such as Basquiat, Pollock, Rotko, Miró, Dalí, Calder, and Koons.
In his current work you can see an influence marked by punk aesthetics, using mixed techniques, generating what he calls (dispersed reflection landscapes), these collages with different themes and materials are the basis for characters full of eroticism and dementia, within a panorama absurd , achieving an aesthetic between the comic and dramatic.
His sarcastic attitude towards current issues such as politics, economics and entertainment is clear, he merges texts that he extracts from front pages, forgotten books, fragments of songs or that simply appear by a sort of cut up chaining themselves like a soundtrack, that demands forms and colors in the middle of the irregular formats.
