About the Artist

Born in Mexico City, 1975, Jacinto Gonzalez Foncerrada-JASSO graduated from Universida Anahuac del Sur with a degree in Marketing.

 

A self-taught artist since his childhood. From 2009 to 2011 he attended several workshops, and currently attends the workshops of “maestro” Hermine Demiro and “maestro” Raul Barcelo in the city of Mexico D.F.

 

His works consist of abstract, realistic and contemporary styles. He exhibited his works in more than 100 collectives and dual exhibitions both in Mexico and abroad within a period of ten years. Having been a self-taught artist since he was a child, although the has been inspired by a series of great masters in the history of art, in particular Picasso, Miro, Dali, Jose Luis Cuevas and Van Gogh, he has been fortunate to receive public recognition in a variety of places, like in June 2012, he was selected with one of his paintings at TIMES SQUARE, NY as he was a finalist at Art Takes Times Square and another one of his artwork was selected for the book of the event.

 

He exhibited in Agora Gallery in 2013 and in 2015 he was selected with honorable mention in the contest: The 30th Chelsea International Fine Art Competition. Nowadays he has works in Galeria de Arte XXI, Visual Art Mexico, Galeria Yuri Lopez and Bernardini Gallery in Mexico City.

 

He just published a book about his artwork collection which was presented at Galeria Arte XXI during the month of January 2018.
